Agency says red caviar production doubling to 22,600 tns in 2021

MOSCOW, Jan 11 (PRIME) -- Russia’s red caviar production doubled on the year to 22,600 tonnes in 2021, the Federal Fisheries Agency said in a statement on Tuesday.

“The successful catch of the Pacific Ocean salmon, with one of the best annual results of 540,000 tonnes in 2021, ensured doubling of red caviar production to 22,600 tonnes, which was by 11,200 tonnes more than in 2020,” the authority said.
